So...Here's what's been happening.

It has been 2 weeks since I've been home and began summer vacation. So far, a lot has been happening.
First I got straight A's for the first time since 6th grade. I was really surprised when I saw my grades.
Also 2 days ago, I watched the Blues Brothers on Netflix. I always wanted to watch the movie ever since I watched an episode of Drake and Josh that featured a scene from the film. It was really good. I also listened to Soul Man from an SNL clip. I might download it on my iPod in the near future.
We also celebrated Memorial Day by going out to eat. It was so much fun.
I have a lot planned for vacation. I also plan on getting my feet wet for an internship, and to spend time with my sister.
I hope the rest of the summer continues to be amazing.

Between sleep, school, life and more sleep.

Have you ever been extremely tired on most days? Well sometimes for me, I feel so tired.
Two nights ago I had a really bad sleepless night. I was very tired when I finally woke up. I think a lot of this is due to going back to school and bad memories of a really bad anniversary of bad things that is coming up next week. Luckily on that day I will be talking to my therapist.
Last night however I actually slept well. I never slept so good in a long time. Plus I feel a whole lot better. I do hope I have that same amount of sleep tonight.
As for school, my attention level is improving a lot and I've been enjoying classes a lot. I have a lot of great teachers who have always loved me. I've also been working on my poetry and art again and hope to do some songwriting soon. Every night after my homework, I visit my favorite place online which always makes me feel like myself and happy.
Every day I look forward to my daily adventure. Although I still don't know what the future holds, I'm excited about the life I live and how I enjoy it.

It's almost Christmas time again

Do you love the holiday season? Well, I do.
To me, Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I love celebrating the holidays with my family. I enjoy buying gifts for my family, hanging out and watching holiday favorites on TV, and enjoying a nice meal with everyone.
Every year, the holidays get me excited. It all starts when my fall finals are over and the break is about to begin. I can't wait to return home and have a nice holiday season with my entire family.
Right now, I have to prepare for my final exams, which always happen this time before the season. However, I am going to push myself into studying, and going to limit my usual free time. Although this is a huge sacrifice, I can do it.
As soon as finals end, I'll be home, and resting and enjoying.

Things I want to accomplish before graduation

Although it's a little late with this, I going to post the things I want to achieve before graduating.
1. get my nose pierced- I've always wanted to get a nose ring, I hope to get it pierced over the Thanksgiving holiday. I think it will look good on me.
2. redo my room- My room hasn't be redone in a really long time, so I hope to completely remove the things that make me really young, and add new things to make my room more me again.
3. See David Bowie live- I don't know if he will tour or not, but seeing him live will make me extremely happy. I just hope he posts tour dates.
4. Make high honors in college- I really hope to get the high honors in my college career. With these honors, I will be able to get a great job in the near future. With that job, I can be really happy.
5. Meet new people- This year my main goal is to crack out of my shell, and meet someone new. I've met several people on my dorm floor. This year I hope to meet more.
6. Make the most out of life- As Billie Joe said "So make the best of this test and don't ask why," That means to live life to it's fullest. I hope to live life to that fullest and not repeat last year.
So there you have it. The things I want to accomplish before graduating.

Guess what's coming up

Next Friday a certain someone celebrates a birthday by turning 20 years old. That person is me.
I can't believe I'm getting older each year. I hope this age will be better than the last one. My biggest wish is to get my nose pierced. I've been planning this forever. Also I plan on doing a lot of reading.
Yesterday, I started reading Silver linings playbook. So far it's a good book. I also plan on watching the movie afterwards.
I've been keeping up with my school work. So far I've been doing well. One of the things I do everyday is listen to music. I love keeping up to date with several of my favorite bands and singers. I hope to keep up with a blog like that in the near future.
Anyway life has been really good for me. I'm enjoying my second year in college. This year I'm taking guitar lessons and planning to work for the college radio station (if I get the email), but other than that, everything has been great.
I hope being 20 will be a million times better than being 19. I hope this year will be the best age ever.

Me and the music

Since I'm listening to music, I decided to write about the music I like to listen to, and how music is a part of my life.
Music has been in my life since I was little. I listen to tons of different genres and styles. My favorites are rock and metal. I have tons of songs on my iPod. Some of my favorite bands include Green Day, Nirvana, Paramore and Evanescence. Several songs make me happy, other songs make me upset. So I need to be careful with which songs I hear.
My favorite part of listening to music is discovering it. Although there are not many music discovery stations in my area, luckily there is tons of online music stations to chose from. My favorites are last.fm, spotify, and Pandora.
Whenever I'm having a bad day or just want to chill. I simply put on my iPod or any online radio and jam out. It's so much fun.

College

Since I start college on Thursday, I'd thought I would write about what my feelings for college are.
First, this will be my first time away from my family. I won't be seeing my mom everyday now. It's very scary. I also won't know if I will make any friends at college.
Second, I will be busy a lot these days. For classes I'm taking Italian literature, writing, business, and graphic design. I'm really excited to take these classes. I also have to do a lot of studying. This is no walk in the park. By studying I will have to write my notes down. This is something I never done before.
Third will be keeping a schedule. This involves when to get up, when to eat, when to study, and when to have fun. I don't want to be like a chicken with it's head chopped off. No one wants to be that. Luckily my mom helped me arrange time management.  So now it is not scary.
Besides these, I need to make some ground rules, like no partying or taking things teens give. That's the dangerous part of college.
Now that I told you about my plans, I actually looking forward to taking the next step in my life. The next four years will be the best of my life.
